NEWS 10/12/10 - Jacob starts his wrestling season. 10/13/10 - Rebecca starts her wrestling season. 10/21/10 - Jacob Secured a starting position on the team in the 115lbs weight class by beating two other wrestlers. The second wrestler was Rebecca. 10/21/10 - Rebecca won her first match but lost to Jacob i n the second match, so she is not a starter unless she can drop down to the 108 Lbs weight class. 10/23/10 - Rebecca spent a couple of hours running at the Vaughn center working to drop those pounds to get to her desired weight class. SHE WANTS TO BE A STARTER!!! 10/25/10 - Rebecca is not a starter. She will be wrestling exhibition matches for the time being. She did not wrestle on Monday at Oswego Traughber. 10/27/10 - Rebecca did not wrestle as there were no wrestlers in her weight class to wrestle for exhibition. 11/01/10 - Jacob was injured 2 days earlier when he was jumped by 15 neighborhood black kids near his house. He did not wrestle. 11/01/10 - Rebecca took Jacobs starting spot because he was not able to wrestle. 11/04/10 - Rebecca wrestled her second match to almost a completion. It was her first match in an actual competition. 11/11/10 - Both Jacob and Rebecca Win their matches. It was her first win in an actual competition. Jacob has recovered from his neck injury. 11/15/10 - Rebecca had an exhibition match scheduled but her opponent chickened out. It does not count as a win or a loss. 11/20/10 - TIGER KICKOFF CLASSIC WRESTLING INVITATIONAL Attended by the following schools Bednarcik - Oswego, Geneva North - Geneva, Hains - St Charles, Indian Trail - Plainfield, Jewel - West Aurora, Plank - Oswego, Thompson - Oswego, Thompson - St. Charles, Traughber - Oswego, Washington - West Aurora TOP 4 Finishing order #1 Thompson - Oswego, #2 Plank - Oswego, #3 Jewel - West Aurora, #4 Washington - West Aurora Jacob took 1st Place in the 115 Lbs Weight class 11/21/10 No wrestling this week because of the Thanksgiving holiday. 11/30/10 - The wrestling season returns from Thanksgiving break with three weeks of matches. 11/30/10 - Rebecca completes her first complete match. 12/04/10 - At the Munos Tournament Jacob goes undefeated by winning all three matches. Rebecca goes 1-1. She defeated a girl in the 123Lbs weight class. Rebecca wrestles in the 115 l bs class. 12/07/10 - The team Rebecca, and Jacob all win today. Last year they lost to St. Charles Thompson. 12/09/10 - Jacob looses his match vs Geneva South. Last year at that match Jacob had a season ending injury. This year he came out uninjured but upset he had his 3rd loosing match. 12/11/10 - Jacob places 4th at the City Lights Tournament and Washington places 7th. Jacob is nominated for the Munos Award but does not get chosen. This is an honor to be nominated. 12/16/10 - Rebecca's wrestling season is OVER!!! She finished the season with a winning record of 4 Wins and 3 loses. Jacob has one more tournament on Saturday then his season will end. Rebecca will be joining the Blackhawk Wrestling Club in the off season to continue to develop her wrestling skills and get a lot more matches. The BLACKHAWK WRESTLING CLUB is an off season extension of the WEST AURORA HIGH SCHOOL BLACKHAWK WRESTLING TEAM. 12/18/10 - Jacob didn't fair so well at his last tournament winning his first match then loosing the last three. He finishes with a winning record of 16 wins and 9 losses. Jacob will be taking some time off from wrestling and will not be joining the BLACKHAWK WRESTLING CLUB. He better watch out, Becky may start next years wrestling season with the same skills as Jacob and will be challenging him for the starting spot on the WEST AURORA HIGH SCHOOL BLACKHAWK WRESTLING TEAM.
